Choose and Book
In December 2005, the Choose and Book* system was introduced, enabling electronic referrals and booking of a choice of time, date and place for your first specialist appointment.
This means that if you visit your GP and it is decided that you need a specialist referral, you will be offered a choice of at least four service providers. You will also have the choice of date, time, and place of your appointment, resulting in more convenience and flexibility to suit your needs.
The way you book your appointment will depend on your local area and GP surgery but your options are likely to include:
- Booking your appointment immediately with the GP or other practice staff.
- Calling our Advice Centre on 0800 0155020.
- Using the internet - click here to book your appointment or for more information, contact your GP.
We have been commissioned to provide services for some specialties within Choose and Book, so you can now choose your local Nuffield Hospital for selected specialties.
